ℍ𝕖𝕝𝕝 𝕪𝕖𝕒𝕙, 𝕥𝕙𝕒𝕥'𝕤 𝕞𝕖𝕥𝕒𝕝!
Have you ever wondered what a rythm musical game in an FPS, Hellish setting would play like? I have, and this game finally answers all the questions I had for the longest time about that. The result is one of the most unique and exhilarating action experiences in recent years. You play as The Unknown, a vengeful demon seeking to reclaim her voice and take revenge on the ruler of Hell. While the story serves mainly as a framework for the action and the carnage to the music that happens within it. Its dark fantasy setting and narrated lore provide enough intrigue to keep players moving through the seven hells. The game's most defining aspect is its rythm-based combat. Every shot, reload and attack is mostly effective only when performed to the beat. Maintaining a combo multiplier by not missing a... how do I call them, rhythmic skillchecks, not only boosts damage but also gradually unlocks additional layers of the soundtrack. For example, you're at 4x multiplayer, you hardly hear the metal song in the background, at 8x, the drums kick in and you're like WOOOOW, and then 16x happens and you're just banging your head on the desk, full-on metal style ahaha. The best part about it is, you don't even have to keep to the beat, you can still progress if you're a failure at skillchecks. Metal: Hellsinger is a unique experience, that I thought was never possible to achieve in this way. By merging rhythm-game mechanics with high-speed action FPS shooting, it creates and experience unlike any other on the market. Stylish, challenging and immensely satisfying and definitely a MUST-PLAY for fans of metal music. I'm going to say F it and give it a 10/10, hell yeah, game is amazing!
I love the innovation of rhytm-shooter mechanic. Not really into fps, and not great at rhytm-based game. But still, objectively one of thebetter games out there. Short to complete and has plenty of challenges too.
Fun, feels great, good music, but gets repetitive quite fast; same level layout and very similar boss in most levels.
