Mortal Kombat X is a 2015 fighting game developed by NetherRealm Studios and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. It is the tenth main installment in the Mortal Kombat franchise and a sequel to Mortal Kombat (2011), taking place 25 years later after the events of its predecessor. High Voltage Software developed the Windows version of the game, with Polish studio QLOC taking over the work on it shortly after the release of Kombat Pack 1.

Runs well on modern hardware.

after 100 hours i can confidently say it's a pretty good game. probably the best mk to date.
Still one of the best fighting games that's worth every penny
The gameplay here is more fast-paced than in other MK entries, which makes the game less casual-friendly but more enjoyable if you're willing to learn characters and their combos. Single-player content is excellent. AI is fun to play against; characters are as great and diverse visually as they are gameplay-wise, while stages are memorable and highly interactive. So there's a lot of enjoyment in completing randomly generated fights with challenges in towers mode, earning money, and spending them while exploring the Krypt (first person game mode with puzzles and QTE fights) to open costumes, fatalities, concept art with devs' commentary, etc. Some of those tower fights have modifiers that change the gameplay (for example, randomly opening portals that suck combatants in and damage them). Add to that an actually interesting story mode with well-written dialogues, and you'll have one of the best single-player experiences not just in MK series but in fighting games in general. Multiplayer is also still alive, and there are always people to fight: both skillful die-hard fans of the game that play it 24/7, which is obviously the majority, and mid-tier players. There are several game modes, but mostly people play 1v1 in online rooms (lobbies). Btw, the gloomy visual style of X fits this series perfectly and, on par with good, for its time, graphics, makes the game beautiful to look at. MKX aged like a fine wine.
In my point of view, this is the best version of Mortal Kombat!! Beautiful and realistic graphic, brutal combat and fatalities. The guest characters are awesome!! Interesting variation system, different towers to conquer and unlock. Love this game so much!
