You can just jump in, bop around, collect shiny things, and enjoy a cute little adventure without the game demanding your entire soul as payment. The worlds are fun, the character design is sweet, and Lucky himself is ridiculously cute. It feels like the kind of game that knows it is meant to be cheerful and approachable, and it leans into that. It is not trying to be some massive, dramatic, emotionally devastating masterpiece. It is just a fun, polished, feel-good platformer with a tiny fox and a lot of charm. Sometimes that is exactly what you want. New Super Lucky’s Tale is wholesome, lighthearted, and genuinely cute.
