Runs well on modern hardware.

A very fun action-platformer. Difficulty feels fair and balanced. Every death is just a practice run. Flawless runs certainly feel doable and seem to be encouraged. I was able to finish the game in just under 10 hours. That being said, I don't feel the game is lacking content. I wasn't bored while playing this game. Game looks good and runs great on Steam Deck LCD. No tinkering was required. Wait for a sale and pick up NINJA GAIDEN: RAGEBOUND!
I’ve never experienced a Ninja Gaiden game, and I just started with this one, which is not even canon, it seems. The whole experience was great, and I recommend it to anyone who likes side-scrolling and speedrunning games. It’s fast, and sometimes it’s even punishing, but it doesn’t reach rage-quit levels, which is great. I’ve barely had a bad experience with pixel-art games, and once again, I’m glad that this style is still popular and that I can enjoy it. My Score: Gameplay: 9/10 Story: 7/10 Art Style: 10/10 Music: 8/10 Environmental Difficulty: 9/10 Boss Difficulty: 7/10
NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is everything I wanted from a modern 2D Ninja Gaiden. The combat is incredibly fast, responsive, and satisfying, while the gorgeous pixel art and soundtrack perfectly capture the series' classic feel. It's challenging without being frustrating, rewarding mastery at every step. My only complaint is that it ends too soon. If you're a fan of action platformers, this is an easy recommendation.
