Nuclear Throne is a bullet hell roguelike video game developed by Vlambeer. Set in a post-apocalypse, players are tasked with killing enemies by using various weapons and characters' special abilities to progress through levels and eventually reach the titular Nuclear Throne. The game is widely known for its steep difficulty curve and fast-paced gameplay. Early prototypes of the game were distributed through Steam's early access program in 2013. Nuclear Throne was released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in December 2015, for Nintendo Switch in March 2019, and for Xbox One in September 2021.

i like this game alot it takes a bit to get used to playing and be able to stay alive for more than a minute but it also stays difficult once you do get the hang of it BUT! this game is not a roguelike. it is a roguelite. with a t. there are optional unlockable things that save between runs/deaths (character skins and crowns) which means it's a roguelite. that's the only reason i'm posting this review. the community tags lie!
Makes sense for the Throne to be where the king of twinstick roguelikes sits; such an amazing game that I've consistently come back to time n time again. Was my second ever steam game on my old acct (after Terraria); and one of my most played games on ps4, the switch, and my steamdeck (when Florida decides there'll be no power/internet for a week lol). 11/10, its so fun to see how much this game influenced the indie community and inspired so many others, good ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ job guys and thanks for making such a solid and creative masterpiece. (also my time is like SUPER off since I dont normally play this game online or even on this acct lol; but been workin on a new project recently and studying the ♥♥♥♥ outta this.)
