Nuclear Throne is a bullet hell roguelike video game developed by Vlambeer. Set in a post-apocalypse, players are tasked with killing enemies by using various weapons and characters' special abilities to progress through levels and eventually reach the titular Nuclear Throne. The game is widely known for its steep difficulty curve and fast-paced gameplay. Early prototypes of the game were distributed through Steam's early access program in 2013. Nuclear Throne was released for Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation Vita in December 2015, for Nintendo Switch in March 2019, and for Xbox One in September 2021.

The game is pretty fun but trying to grind out all the crowns will ruin your enjoyment of it. The biggest issue is that most runs feel the same across all the characters, and that's because there's a handful of meta mutations that you basically have to take to have a successful long lasting run. Despite that, it's still a good game, and I appreciate that the game is as good as it is for how little disk space it takes up and how quick it is to get into a run.
Still top 3 roguelike of all time, every single time you think you understand this game or think you found the end of it, found the last layer of complexity theres always more. Its filled with endless nuance and depth in such a simple package.
this game is a rouge-like and its very fun. i think that most gamers will enjoy this game, it has a ton of charaters, fun enimes, bosses, and skins so if you're looking for a fun and enjoyable rouge-like then you should play nuclear throne
