Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus

[h2]My history with the game[/h2] I tried Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus on Steam for 12 minutes. Just like Abe's Oddysee, I also played this game as a child. I had the original CD version and spent a lot of hours with it back then. This Steam revisit was short, but the game still works as a strong nostalgic reminder of that time. [h2]What didn’t work for me[/h2] * The original visuals are obviously very old now. * Newer players may find the pixelated look harder to enjoy. * Since Soulstorm exists as a newer version, I personally prefer to play that instead. * I do not really feel the need to fully replay the original today. [h2]Is it an endless game? How long to beat?[/h2] No, this is not an endless game. It is a classic story-based puzzle platformer. The full playthrough length depends on your skill, patience, and how much extra saving and exploration you want to do. [h2]Who will love it[/h2] You will probably enjoy Abe's Exoddus if you like old-school puzzle platformers, classic PC games, darker atmosphere, strange worlds, and the original Oddworld style. Veterans who played it back in the day will probably appreciate it the most. [h2]Replay value[/h2] Replay value is decent, especially for nostalgia or for players who want to experience the original version again. For me personally, I am glad I can return to this classic, but I will probably play Soulstorm instead because of the improved graphics. [h2]Final note[/h2] Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus is another important childhood game for me. I may not fully replay this original version today, but I still respect it and I am glad it is available on Steam. Recommended, especially for nostalgic players and fans of older classics.

Twice the Flavor Compared to Soulstorm. Just buy it, it's cheap, fun, and impactful.
