A time travel adventure spanning two hundred years! Dive into the past with time agent Fia Quinn as she embarks on seven trips through time. History is up for grabs, from the speakeasies of Prohibition to the vicious gangs of the Gilded Age to the World Trade Center on September 10, 2001.

Runs well on modern hardware.

It is with a heavy heart that I write this review, because even though I'm a long-time fan of Wadjet Eye's work, this game in my eyes is the worst by far. While I don't think it's bad per se, it's just... very weak. So much in this game feels under-cooked and under-prepared: the story is often nonsensical (I think this game tackles time travel rather poorly), most of the puzzles are silly fillers like "use lockpick on door", there's a crapload of backtracking in some parts and the art style is just... ugly as sin, especially in the close-up scenes. I can say that chapters 1-3 are quite weak (especially 3, sheesh), chapter 4 is excellent, chapter 5 is quite good, and while it does start very weak chapter 6 ends with a banger of a puzzle. It's a shame that the following epilogue and ending are... well, what they are. Play only if you don't mind adventure games that are mostly walking simulators with a few good puzzles thrown here and there, and are willing to listen to a somewhat weak sci-fi anthology while applying suspension of disbelief. A WHOLE LOT of suspension of disbelief.
Absolutely phenomenal game in the same mould as LucasArts golden age genre greats. It makes great use of it's timetravel shtick both in the narrative and for puzzle solving, and it lends itself really well to an almost episodic format with each chapter being largely-self contained. I say "largely", there is an overarching meta-narrative which tells a beautiful, tragic story about love, loss and regret. Fun, interesting - albeit not hugely difficult - puzzles, woven neatly into the narrative; absolutely stellar voice acting; and a phenomenal soundtrack make this one of my top picks in the genre in recent years.
Genuinely one of the best narratives I've ever experienced in an adventure game. The cultural/political/personal repercussions of the time travel mechanics of this world will trigger an existential crisis in even the most jaded of us out there. You can only play something this good for the first time once, so I'm not including any game details. Thanks for this game, devs! https://www.twitch.tv/crustyoldhuman i be streaming this game and other weird indie games on that channel. come join!
