Otxo is a 2023 top-down shooter game developed by Lateralis Heavy Industries and published by Super Rare Originals. The game follows an unnamed protagonist as he traverses through a supernatural mansion with randomly-generated floors, killing all enemies inside as he searches for his long lost lover, who is trapped inside the mansion. The player is able to use a variety of weapons and abilities against the enemies, of which a main ability is known as "Focus", a meter that allows the player to manipulate and slow down time to their advantage in combat. Around a hundred extra performance-enhancing abilities are obtainable via numerous beverages that the player is able to purchase at a bar. It is presented in a black-and-white art style, with the exception of red being used to represent blood and gunfire.

Runs well on modern hardware.

A fast, stylish roguelite shooter that absolutely nails its flow once everything falls into place. The blend of slow-motion gunplay, aggressive movement, and randomized runs keeps every attempt exciting. It feels like a love letter to Hotline Miami while still carving out its own identity with deeper progression and build variety.
Hotline Miami's gameplay as a roguelike. Love the aesthetics LOVE the soundtrack LOVE the gameplay. One of the more satisfying roguelikes out there.
criminally underrated game. i've been itching for a Hotline Miami like for a while and this game finally scratched that itch. at this point it has become my comfort game that i can just pick up and play whenever can't say much other than the gunplay feels amazing and fast paced. i've seen some people praised it for its bullet time mechanic, but in my opinion it's much more fun to play without it. imagine frantically busting open a door, gunning down several dudes, snatching a gun that an enemy dropped while its mid-air, and then gunning down the last one all in one go without needing bullet time. it feels so great. the economy encourages you to keep your combo alive which means clearing each floor as fast as you can, rewarding you with more cash to buy more upgrades i have to say, it does get very repetitive, but weirdly, i can't stop coming back to it
