PAC-MAN Championship Edition DX is an arcade game; a part of the Namco Bandai’s long-running PAC-MAN series and a follow-up to the 2007 title PAC-MAN Championship Edition. ###Gameplay The core gameplay is similar to most other PAC-MAN games. The player controls Pac-Man through the maze where he must eat dots and avoid hostile ghosts. Besides dots, the player can collect bonus items that give additional points, and power pellets that allow Pac-Man to eat ghosts. Eating several ghosts in a row triggers a combo that gives the player a huge amount of extra points. Though the base gameplay is similar to that of the original arcade game, there are numerous new mechanics and gameplay differences in Championship Edition DX. The mazes consist of two halves. Eating all the dots on one of them makes a bonus item appear on the other half and eating an item makes a new dots layout appear on the other side. If a ghost is about to catch Pac-Man, a slow-motion effect kicks in giving the player an opportunity to avoid it. There are three main game modes in the game: Score Attack, Time Attack, and Ghost Combo. The game features nine different courses and several visual style options.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Fun, fast paced PAC-MAN game with lots of customizations.
If you need a brief explanation as to why this game is good:
Pac-Man on acid at a raver.
But to really get deep into why this game is good, it takes the original Championship Edition and injects it with adrenaline while also being respectful towards the source material (you just keep going). Thumping techno beats that I unironically like listening to in my free time, neon colors and light shows that would make a Victorian child foam at the mouth, and second-to-second gameplay that keeps you on your feet. It's fast, it's furious and it has no intention to stop unless stopped against its will. The game is just good, why bother reading reviews when you can just see how exciting it is from gameplay clips?
This game is really fun! Which, is y'know the purpose of a game, and it nails that! It does suffer from performance and hacked leaderboards, though.
