This game turns you into a zombie. You are constantly zoned out when you are away from it. You no longer understand what your colleagues and boss are talking about. You've lost your sense of hearing. You forget what lunch is. Time does not exist. You feel you have never been this close to the center of the universe. You then realize it's time to wear your underwear inside out.
As a new player who was scared of all the possibilities in this game at first, I have to say, it's not as scary as it looks if you really want to get into it. :3 They did a great job to help new players who wanna learn the game themselves, with options like a search bar in the skill tree, which is very useful to just search for nodes with your type of damage you are looking for, for example, which then highlights every node with this stat. Skill and support gem recommendations and small videos for it that even explain the skill, which is great if you wanna see how the skill looks or you don't want to read. It is a pretty big "problem solving journey" when you first start out, but its fun to see your own build develop, change, and potentially just erase all enemies from your screen at a later point. :) If something doesn't work as you want, you figure out what's missing and where you can get it, as said before, the search bar in the skill tree and even in the skill and support gem selection help out a lot. Need to reallocate skill points or change skills? No problem, you get enough resources to do so. Experiment around, fail until you don't, and have fun exploring the game and everything it has to offer! Visuals, sound design, gameplay, quality, presentation, and the sense of progression are all really good. You can even move with WASD if you don't like click to move, and it works great! So, don't be afraid. If you find anything about the game interesting, go ahead, just jump in and have fun, you will figure everything out as you go. :3
Great game. Need to work on netcode better, has some hitching issues 2 years later still. Make an offline mode for single player so we don't get network hitching or at least put up a true Midwest server in Chicago/Detroit area. This game has been fun with the updates but it is time to polish and finish it out of early access after 2 years. Put in the last characters that are left open right now. Stop with new material and finish what you need to get out of E.A. Let's finish the game.
