Quake II is a first-person shooter video game developed by id Software and published by Activision. It is not a direct sequel to Quake, id decided to revert to an existing trademark when they were unable to agree on a new name that did not violate another company's trademark.

Runs well on modern hardware.

The STORY! the later part of the game! Multiplayer and single player! The game is dated but not old enough to have a good time and to maybe even relive a few memories!!!!! Make sure you are able to up date the graphics and get the sound working!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME MUSIC!!!!!!!
So many childhood memories ... back when gaming was about passion and creativity. God I miss these times :( Everything is perfect : the maps, the guns, the ennemies, the music ...
A classic. Again just like Doom, and the original Quake. Yes Quake 2 is very different to Quake 1, which was a dark fantasy FPS. But the plot of an alien invasion, and humanity invading the enemy planet really is a 90's nostalgia gem. A one man army against an alien race. Like ID Software games, there are at least two routes to an objective via secret you discover or a route you don't imagine exists. Exploring pays off, with early access to a more powerful weapon or a consumable which will assist you against hordes of the enemy Strogg. With the base game, you also get the two Add-On's which add more hours of gameplay. I've found myself coming back to Quake 2 since purchasing it, and I am intent on completing the game and everything extra with it. What else is there to add? The soundtrack is brilliant, alike the Doom soundtracks the game fluidly mixes and is worth buying.
