Runs well on modern hardware.

Probably one of the best 3D platformers on Steam, with some solid gunplay. It’s absolutely gorgeous - so much so that the line between a Pixar movie and real gameplay practically disappears. It runs great too - the optimization is excellent. This is the kind of game Sony should be making, instead of chasing a self-destructive push for DOA live-service titles.
What a fantastic game. Makes me sad that Sony's going back to exclusives, because PC gamers will be losing amazing games like this one. I've only ever played Ratchet & Clank on PS4, but this an absolute blast and makes me wanna play other games as well. Really recommend it, highly playable with children. It's fun, it's smart, it's touching.
Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a fun, colorful platformer with tight controls, great weapons, and that classic Ratchet & Clank humor. The dimension rifts and dual-character gameplay keep it fresh. I played it on my Lenovo Legion Go and had constant crashes at first — it was bad enough that I regretted buying it on handheld. After some research I went into the BIOS (shut down completely, hold Volume Up + Power button to enter, then increase UMA Frame Buffer Size / VRAM to 6GB or 8GB). Once I did that the crashes stopped and it became playable on medium settings. Even after the fix it still feels smoother and more stable on my PlayStation 5. If you’re on a Legion Go or similar handheld, expect to tweak the BIOS VRAM setting first. Otherwise it’s a solid, polished game. If you like 3D platformers or the series, it’s worth it — just know handheld users may need that BIOS adjustment. 8/10 from me.
