On one hand, this game is absolutely gorgeous and its setting is interesting and begs to be expanded upon. On the other hand, there just isn't enough "game" here. The combat is insanely shallow, you will be fighting the same enemies the entire time with the same base combo the entire time and the same kill animations that, while looking good, are not exactly varied. The story also does not save this as unfortunately the characters are all extremely one note and predictable. They have moments of being charming, but the larger plot beats are not doing much that's interesting. You could argue that the theming is prescient and poignant for our times, but tbh you can find better games with better stories for that. I really want to like this game, but it bored me to tears.
[h2] Better than I expected [/h2] The art was great. Combat, music, and story were also good. I liked how they kept the story simple and smooth, and didn't try to add too many twists or overload it with information. Maybe it's not a masterpiece, but when everything comes together like that, it just makes the game a joy to play.
[h2]A Surprisingly Great 2.5D Experience :D[/h2] I just finished [b]REPLACED[/b], and honestly, what a game it was! :D I really enjoyed it. Loved the [b]story[/b] and the way the main character slowly learns about humans and learns about feelings. The ending was really interesting too, ngl. The [b]music[/b] is also really good, and even though it's a [i]2.5D[/i] game, I genuinely enjoyed pretty much every part of it. The [b]combat[/b] is really cool as well, especially some of the brutal finishing animations. 😂 Overall, I really enjoyed my time with it and would definitely recommend giving it a try if you're into this kind of game! :D
