Gameplay is nothing special, just a 2D game with some average puzzle, combat and platforming elements. But the art style, music and story are phenomenal. Easily worth even full price.
Overall I would reccomend this game. It's been many many years since the intial teaser trailer and I really had no idea what to expect. The platform and puzzles are ok, sometimes a bit frustrating but nothing major really and overall they didn't outstay their welcome. The action is reminiscent to Batman arkham games, and overall the fighting is fun and it breaks up the slow pacing and puzzle-platform sections. The music is decent and enjoyable if you like synthwave. It is a shame that you can't keep music playing in the background when you find bits of music to collect. The story is interesting but nothing too deep to the extent that it will stay in your mind and you'll keep thinking about it, it's not a boring story, but it's not exactly thrilling either. Short and sweet game, I'd give it a 7.5/10 but if you really like your dystopian future genre it's an easy 8/10
yes, graphics and visuals are stunning. it definitely nails the cyberpunk feeling and the world it creates is really great BUT that is game only strong point. Movement clumsy (the 2.5 platforming is sometimes tedious and annoying), fighting is extremely repetitive (some platforming, reach an area, fight and rinse and repeat). During the game you get new features and functionalities but even then it gets boring to the point that even though the visuals are amazing i found myself skipping cutscenes to get to the end of the game. I was so close to drop the game before the end.
