Resident Evil 2 is a 1998 survival horror video game developed and published by Capcom for the PlayStation. It is the second main installment in the Resident Evil series. The player controls rookie cop Leon S. Kennedy and college student Claire Redfield, who must escape Raccoon City after its citizens are transformed into zombies by a biological weapon two months after the events of the original Resident Evil. The gameplay focuses on exploration, puzzles, and combat; the main difference from its predecessor are the branching paths, with each player character having unique storylines, partners and obstacles.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Absolutely awesome remake of yet another classic playstation banger from my childhood. Claire is alright but Leon is a stud muffin and Ada so sexy! Relive both stories with glorious modern features. It's a fun game from start to finish with a neat little story to tell. The back and forth can get a little tedious but sort of adds a bit of a metroidvania feel to it when looking for bonus treasures and useful upgrades. That being said there is a bit of cut and reworked content from the original. It wasn't enough to rain on my parade though and I strongly recommend checking this game out!
Resident Evil 2 was my first Resident Evil game. I'd never really tried getting into horror games before but after hearing from a friend how good the series was, I decided to start with the remake. I had no idea what to expect and ended up enjoying it way more than I thought I would The combat is pretty simple but I still found it really fun throughout the whole game. I never got bored of exploring and the atmosphere was definitely the highlight for me, especially inside the police station. I found it really immersive and Mr. X made some of the most memorable moments in the game. Every time I heard his footsteps I instantly started thinking about where I was going next instead of just running around without a care I also really liked the characters. None of them feel explored that deeply but I genuinely liked all of them, especially Leon and Ada. If anything, it just made me want to keep playing the rest of the series to see where their stories go, which I think is exactly what a first game should do. The boss fights were another highlight and kept things feeling fresh throughout I don't really have any major complaints. My only real issue is that I'm not very interested in replaying the game as Claire because while they are different characters with their own weapons, story moments and supporting characters, a lot of the overall progression is still very similar. I never played the original so I can't compare them but I do wish the two campaigns felt a bit more different from each other Overall, I'd rate it 8/10 - Resident Evil 2 changed my opinion on horror games and made me want to play the rest of the series. Highly recommended 👮♂️🧟♂️
re2 is genuinely such an amazing game and i honestly had such a fun time playing it. i wasn’t expecting to get as invested as i did, but i ended up loving my time exploring the rpd, solving puzzles and slowly learning more abt the story. the atmosphere in this game is honestly incredible and i loved how it kept me nervous abt what was waiting around the next corner T_T i rlly loved getting to play as both leon and claire. i ended up getting rlly attached to both of them and i loved seeing their stories come together. leon is such a lovable character and claire is such a cutie pie :3 i genuinely loved following their journey and seeing how different their experiences were. ada my beloved<3 i absolutely loved her scenes with leon and their whole dynamic was so entertaining. and poor marvin deserved so much better T_T the graphics are gorgeous, the soundtrack fits the game perfectly and i loved all the lil details throughout. overall re2 is such a beautifully made survival horror game with an amazing story, characters i ended up caring abt so much and an experience i’m genuinely so glad i got to play. 10/10<3
