A dual-narrative between veteran agent Leon S. Kennedy and new FBI analyst Grace Ashcroft investigating a fresh bioterror outbreak at a condemned hotel in Raccoon City. Set decades after the original incident, the story revisits the city's dark history, with Grace seeking answers about her mother, reporter Alyssa Ashcroft.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Leon survived zombies. Leon survived cults. Leon survived bioweapons. Leon is older. Leon is wiser. Leon: "I'm getting too old for this." Grace appears. Leon: "Not again." The universe: "No." Some people get a quiet retirement. Leon Kennedy gets another Resident Evil game.
Nothing i'll be saying in this review is something original, at least i assume. Resident Evil Requiem was everything i love in a resident evil game -- action, horror, great crafting system, puzzles, perfect soundtrack, characters that i loved (every. single. one.) i genuinely have no complaints, my computer ran it perfectly and every minute of the game was SO fun. The only thing i have to point out is that the boss fights may have been a little too easy imo? Especially the final boss fight, which surprised me, and by the end of the game i genuinely may as well have had infinite ammo but i'm honestly not complaining at all i'm just surprised! Other than that i fear i have no complaints, and i'll paste my review i'd been writing before finishing the game underneath this, and continue on from there! This game was incredible, down to every little detail; nick of course brought his A game as usual and i was in love with his performance, but when you put it next to angela? she did an insane job, i love the way she delivered every single line, it was so immersive and felt so real. also very glad to witness unc leon still using his one liners i knew i could count on him for that!! Grace was an incredible protagonist to introduce i fell in love with her immediately and like i said who can say no to old man Leon? he was perfectly badass and just a great new installment for his story. i love them both so much, literally loved all of the characters! the game was terrifying--i'm a scaredy cat, and i loved it. literally petrifying, i may at some point try to replay in first person as grace but god does first person in any game give me the WORST motion sickness and migraine... but at least i got to see my lady dimitrescu outfit for grace <3 i really have no complaints about this game, it felt true to the story, nicely paced, the switches between the two characters never felt too janky or anything and going from horror to action packed flowed very well! everyone hated resident evil 6, which was and/or is probably MY favourite resident evil game. this game is obviously a follow up to that, since re7 and 8 follow a whole different storyline, and i loved those two games, but getting back to the main story was SO refreshing, and of course so nostalgic. i really loved this game so much, and i knew i would, but it still amazes me that it was THIS great. Back to present tense; i've finished the game now and it was literally perfect, I stand by everything i said and i probably have more to say but i'm going to publish what i have for now!
Incredible game. Not perfect, but a ton of fun and they really nailed a lot for me here. At times certain parts were ehh with pacing, and some parts I'd be fine never playing again
*cough cough* the orphanage
but I still had a great time with it. Very satisfying being able to play as Leon further into his years after having been through so much, and Grace is a great character and I personally preferred her sections due to how they actually had me so tensed up and anxious at times. Capcom is absolutely on fire and deserves the praise lately, I'm loving this era of gaming. Can't wait for whatever they cook up with the dlc, will be an easy day 1 purchase. Came for Leon, stayed for the rest. ( ͡o ͜ʖ ͡o)
