Runs well on modern hardware.
This game definitely brought back memories, and the whole vibe of it was genuinely interesting. There are no strict objectives, no pressure, and no timers, it’s a proper chill‑out game. The constant flow of customers kept things lively, and it was refreshing to never have a completely quiet moment. I've played over 50 hours, unlocked all the areas and completed all achievements, i do recommended this game its fun, quirky and realistic. I play many management simulator games. The special events helped break up the days, but the gameplay does become extremely repetitive. By the third month, I found myself getting a bit bored. I ran into a few glitches with customers some wandered outside, some held videos without baskets, and occasionally the pathfinding just broke. Shelf placement was also tricky: the shelves take up a lot of space, even if they technically fit, overlapping them even slightly meant customers refused to walk down the aisle. The phone ringing constantly drove me mad. I get that it’s meant to add realism, but most of the calls didn’t feel relevant to the gameplay. Staff management felt a bit unbalanced. Staff can only carry four videos while the player can carry ten, so I ended up doing most of the work myself. Hiring “fast” staff didn’t feel noticeably different either — except they fall asleep, which makes hiring average staff feel more practical. The reserve station could also use more space; I often had more items than it could hold. A strange bug happened several times in Spring: a staff member asked to go home, I agreed, hired someone new… and then the original staff member suddenly returned, leaving me with two employees. In Summer, the last two releases were repeats of earlier ones, and the board outside never updated. Customers also occasionally complained about being “hit by something” when nothing had happened. Closing time was chaotic — loads of customers were still in the store, and the queue seemed to bottleneck because it can only hold so many people. Adding another till might help with the flow. Overall, the game has a lot of potential the graphics are stunning, I’m excited to see what comes next. These are just my experiences while playing. I’m really hoping for more space to unlock in future updates, because right now I’ve completely run out of room for shelves or anything new.
Do not mistake this game for other Unity asset using, sloppy, AI ridden, poorly translated and choppily made simulator slop. This is actually an amazing, unique, in-depth and funny game that is a step above most other sims, deserving a spot right alongside Powerwash and House Flipper with insanely good and classic sim games I have no notes, it's just perfect.
the game is awesome! I'm having a blast and recommend it to everyone 💕 some suggestions 🤓 (SPOILERS) QoL: - currently held tapes rotate in order and can be scrolled through back and forth with a mouse wheel (right now it seems to mess up the order every time a new tape is picked up, scrolling only goes one way no matter the direction) - reading dealer's note triggers a "quest" notification that's complete after going out the back door but also doesn't prevent you from ending the day - database: displaying, sorting and filtering by different stats like amount of tapes per genre, duplicate tapes, tags, rarity, placement (in the back, on shelves, in the world) etc. - boxes to store an amount of tapes you don't want to rent or sell (shelves in the back run out quickly) Employees: - employees stock shelves left to right, top shelf to bottom - employees check if "new releases" shelf only holds one type of movie and stock that one first (in case there are separate new releases shelves for two different movies) - being able to give employees a raise, let them have a break, a day off etc. Shelves and organisation: - include new release shelves in the tutorial, specify their importance - new release shelves having a minor debuff to sales of movies that aren't new anymore or others (if already present, specify in the catalogue) - unlockable shelves for tapes with old, good and bad critic tags Concessions: - slush, popcorn and cotton candy machines require restocking - having 13 types of snacks for shelves that fit 4 is a crime lord have mercy 😭 add 2 more "chocolate bar" and 1 "candy in the box" type snack, please 🙏🏻 Sales modifiers: - playing tapes on TV increases sales of that tape (for new releases); genre channels affect genre sales (no adult please 😂) - more stats for decorations (increases sales of this genre, lowers sales of another, in/out of season perks etc); possible area of effect with only some shelves being affected (?) - decorations for specific events that increase the chance for accepting a flyer Minor: - separate floor and carpet designs - phone calls complaints being related to actual sales and having consequences I'm so inspired I keep having ideas 🤭
