Games good honest plug in a controller (Or wheel) and play fun. Simple tracks with lots of room for time shaving and time trial runs. Just wish the game had a free drive mode but that's just me
It was hard to believe that a game THIS good was entirely made by a single person until I read about Brownmonster and what a monster this guy is, indeed. This game features the one of the most satisfying rally experiences I've ever had. It sits comfortably between a full fledged simulator and an arcade game, providing nearly all the physics a rally sim has without being overly punishing. It's rewarding to learn how to attack each corner, each sector, until you manage to complete the stage with a good time. There's a great amount of cars, all very well known if you're a rally fan as yours truly. The tracks are great too, there's even a very fun Pikes Peak inspired hill climb/downhill, my favorite. I personally love the visuals, it takes me back to a long gone era where racing games were aplenty, the good ol' days. Being graphically simple ensures that any rig can run it flawlessy and if you're a racing fan, you definitely should give this game a try no matter your specs. I've played it in my desktop and in the Steam Deck, and it runs beautifully in both machines. It's smooth, fast paced and the controls are very responsive. I didn't even know that this game was originally for mobile. If I did, I'd certainly give it a try despite not being a mobile gamer at all. I knew I had to leave a positive review because of how much fun it is. Seriously, give it a try.
A solid arcade rally racing game with good handling, various modes of gameplay and surprising level of customization. Truly shines on Steam Deck. Gameplay and presentation -------------- Car handling is good - it is intuitive from the get go, but still leaves quite a lot of room to master. Cars feel different from each other, all of them can be customized, upgraded and tuned in an extent that is really impressive for a retro-style game. Player is presented with various modes of races and challenges that take place on roads across the entire world. Each country has it's own distinct feel thanks to combination of vegetation, weather and road layout. My only caveat regarding the tracks is that they are mostly decorated only with trees and rocks. Game would benefit from more landscape variety - houses, barns, more rally track props. Steam Deck experience -------------- Game is lightweight both when it comes to storage space and battery usage. Great for short (and long too :D) sessions, I had absolutely no problem with resuming the game even in the middle of a race.
