Satisfactory is a factory simulation game by Coffee Stain Studios for Windows, Xbox, and Playstation. The player is dropped onto an alien planet with a handful of tools and must use the planet's natural resources to construct increasingly complex factories. The initial goal is to construct a space elevator, through which the Pioneer begins supplying the megacorp the player works for with increasingly numerous and complex components for their unknown, but stated to be prudent, purposes. These exports unlock access to new technology that in turn unlocks a new tier of manufacturing and refinement machines to support the production of the next phase of parts to be delivered to FICSIT.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Satisfactory.. It brought back my insomnia It brought back my back pain It brought back my game addiction With that said, spent 1000 hours in this game, on my 4th playthrough and haven't finished the game yet. It's a good game though!
I like how this game is mostly chill but still requires you to use like 5% of your brain if you want to build things efficiently. You can sink a lot of time into this game depending on how you play it. It took me over 100 hours to complete the tiers and space elevator requests. I also like how there are really no missions besides making stuff and finding stuff. The game just throws you down on the planet and says "get to it!" You have the freedom to decide how you want to do it and with the way the tiers are set up its pretty easy to figure out how to progress even if you've never watched a video or read a guide. How will you make your factory? Will it be a super elaborate and perfect one without any clipping and nice neat foundations and walls? Or will you do what I did and build hubs of machines right on the ground all over the place connected with conveyer belts and hypertubes? What is often referred to as "spilled spaghetti". Don't let anyone ever tell you the chaos of improvisation isn't beautiful.
What a wonderful game. Even after finishing it, it still lives rent free in my mind. Starting with humble beginnings, while crafting everything by hand, you suddenly unlock your first automation and your brain is wanting more. Several hours later you realise it's a whole different game from before and the sun is shining through your window. There is exploration if you don't want to build the next factory and you always find something marvelous or intriguing to look at, aswell as some light story to go with it. A very important thing to remember is to just have fun and not to stress about ratios and perfection too much. Recource nodes are infinite and only your transportation methods of said Recource are your limiting factor. But it only takes more time if your factory isn't running optimal. Instead of stressing for perfection, if thats not your thing, let the automation handle the rest. When you come back to it you might have a big stack of said automated part sitting in the bank already. Automate everything, even if it seems tedious at first, but you will thank yourself later on. Do one thing at a time and take it slow. Start from the back of a part you want to automate and go up to the front. If that's still too confusing? (I've been there too) there are plenty of tools to be used to ease the needed brain grease. Interactive maps online, or even on steam the satisfactory planner. Sure some people think you haven't really played the game if you use outside tools or god forbid turned off enemies attacking you, but it's your time and your way of finding fun. So just enjoy yourself the way you feel is best and change settings how you might enjoy them. You will get overwhelmed at some point, that's part of automation games, but just take it one task at a time and you will prevail. Cheers
