I'll be honest, I'm only leaving a positive review because the humor is good. I've recently made the realization that I just hate this type of game. This revelation only occurred after 8 hours of gameplay. If you enjoy a repetitive gameplay loop, decent RPG elements, and pretty good visual gags with silly little stick men, this game is for you! If you don't like relatively tedious puzzles, have extreme FOMO, and don't feel like following every thread the game gives you, then this isn't for you.
Funny and sometimes challenging. I've rushed through this game so much that when I start to reread the dialogue, it surprises me with its wittiness and humor. The Mob and Rufus sidequests are a little tedious but still are fun with expanding the world of SoL. KoL would be proud to call this its son.
Surprisingly addictive—but I knew that before I headed into the game. Game file is absolutely tiny compared to other games, so you're losing absolutely nothing in downloading Shadows Over Loathing.....aside from a few hours of your life
