Played this many times years ago back on the 3DS. Coming back to it now and it's still one of the greatest indie games ever made. It's a lot harder than I remember it, and I think this is the only time I've actually finished it. Shovel of Hope completed. now onto the other 3 campaigns.
One of the best throwback games. Even better on PC with the Battletoads Cameo
Originally, I played this as a kid on my 3DS. At the time, Shovel Knight felt impossible; I thought it was a nearly impossible game. After going back this past week and finally beating all four campaigns (previously, I only ever beat Plague of Shadows and King of Cards), Shovel Knight has cemented itself as one of my favorite games of all time. It is also my favorite platformer of all time. If you enjoy classic platformers but want a modernized version of them, please play Shovel Knight. A genuine 10/10, where even the 'worst' parts of the game manage to be an 8/10/
