Steep difficulty curve may not appeal to casual players
Sifu is a 2022 beat 'em up game developed and published by Sloclap. Set in China, players control the child of a martial arts school's sifu (master) who seeks revenge on those responsible for their father's death. Every time the protagonist dies, they are resurrected by a magical talisman and age up, gaining access to more powerful attacks but reducing their health. When the player character becomes too old, they can die permanently, in which case players must restart the level from the beginning and from the same age as their initial attempt.
Runs well on modern hardware.

10/10 stright up bussin. too bad it was robbed at the game awards by a "Cat Simulator" this game definitely deserved an award for the best indie game.
one of the best kung-fu game. Just absolute peak.one of the most specific but really good specials. Worth to play!
This game was awesome beginning to end. The story, environments, ambience and game play flow together so well. It's really intriguing the unique world of Sifu. The combat system is probably the most fun thing about it. I'd say the only negative thing of the game is its on the short side..i think only 5 levels?...but the replay value of your chracter aging with each death and trying to beat former levels with the youngest age possible (sifu's main gameplay design along with the combat) does add some depth.
