SnowRunner is a 2020 simulation video game developed by Saber Interactive and published by Focus Home Interactive. Following on from Spintires and the sequel MudRunner, the game was announced as MudRunner 2 in August 2018. Focus Home and Saber Interactive re-revealed the title a year later as SnowRunner. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on April 28, 2020, which was followed by a port for Nintendo Switch on May 18, 2021. It was released for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on May 31, 2022. SnowRunner has the player control off-road vehicles as they traverse locations to complete objectives. The game features over 60 different vehicles and more than 15 locations. Much of the content is delivered across 4 anniversary year editions as DLC. A spin-off title, Expeditions: A MudRunner Game was released on March 5, 2024.

Runs well on modern hardware.

This game is great and i love the physics but it wouldve been 10x better if it was more wheel friendly, the wheel support is pretty bad and i cant even use my gear shifter so please add manual transmission!!!
It's a good game, but adding so much DLC is pointless and expensive.
A friend suggested this for our weekly gaming group and at first I was like "Wow, that sounds boring, but it's his turn to suggest a game so why not, it's on sale." Little did I know how thoroughly it would take over all of our lives...our group has had it for two months and we have logged over 500 hours. The game is strangely meditative to play. You're just driving cargo around, often slowly due to the terrain. But the maps are gorgeous and it is a great way to unwind from work. You can just put on a podcast and deliver a load of steel beams with a beer and not get a DUI. Multiplayer is fun since it takes a lot of the grind out of missions that require a lot of cargo delivered. You can convoy up with your buddies and chat while driving to your destination. You can also laugh at them and take screenshots to post in discord when your buddy flips his truck. The downside is that progress is only saved for the host, and multiplayer is capped at 4 players. I know what you are thinking - "You have more than 3 friends, AND they all want to play snowrunner? Where did you meet, at an autism convention?!" Uh, no, engineering school. So maybe yes? We haven't been tested. Give it a shot. Even if you don't like it you'll be able to point out truck brands on the road like the Leonardo DiCaprio pointing meme!
