This game was nerve recking, horrifying, and hopeful. The last part is an opinion and this game will put you through the existential exercise of what it means to be alive and human. Gameplay is outdated but it is satisfying enough to get you through what is really amazing about the game. The story. The story really does an amazing job making you question every decision you have made all the way until the end without forcing you to think one way or the other. I know that SOMA will have me ponder for years to come and is definitely a game worth playing.
10/10 - terrifying psychological horror walking simulator with one of the best stories and thought provoking endings I've come across in any form of media. Guaranteed to give you that queasy feeling in your stomach and sense of existential dread. Ambience, atmosphere, and sound are phenomenal. One of the few games I read through the journals and listened to the audio logs just because of the story. For achievement hunters, this is a very casual achievement experience (play the game).
This game sure has been an emotional rollercoaster for me, from the start to midsection to the end, this game made me experience so many emotions, ranging from scared, thrilled, sad, stumped and so many more, i highly recommend anyone who reads this review to play the game, as a person who plays story mode games from time to time, this has been the best one ive played so far.
