Runs well on modern hardware.

First things first: Yes, you’ll need a small fix to make this run, but don't worry, it's super easy. Download the latest DXVK, extract it, grab the d3d9.dll from the x32 folder, and drop it into the game folder (where ASRT.exe is). Before launching the game, right-click Launcher.exe in the same folder → Properties → Compatibility → set it to Windows 7. Then run the launcher and adjust the settings to your liking. Keep V-Sync ON, otherwise the game locks to 57 FPS for some reason and becomes noticeably juddery. I’m running an RTX 5070 Ti, and the game runs like a dream, locked 4K 60 FPS. About the game: This is one of the best kart racers ever made. My all-time favorite is Mario Kart Wii, and this is a very close second. I’d pick this over Mario Kart 8 or Crossworlds without hesitation, it’s THAT good. The controls are amazing, there’s a huge roster of characters, tons of tracks, plenty of minigames, and lots of unlockables. The vehicle and track transformations are still unmatched, no other game has done it this well since. Definitely recommended.
It's a good game that shouldn't be sold in this state on Steam. This version isn't playable without spending a lot of time configuring it. Go to the discussion section, which explains how to solve most problems. I bought this game to play online with friends who are casual gamer . I can't imagine having to explain to them that after installing the game, they'll have to delete two files in certain directories just to launch it. I'll have to explain that they'll need to configure their controller via Steam because it's impossible to do so directly in the game. And also that there will be crashes to Windows during sections where there's water in the races. Refund request
A good game but is literally unplayable without going through the discussion posts and configure the game yourself to get the game that you paid for to work. I wish this game got the modern day optimization it deserves because it's a gem in the kart racing genre but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ i never wanted to pull my hair out more than trying to get this game to work.
