Runs well on modern hardware.

Steamworld Heist is a side-scrolling turn based team shooter based in the Steamworld Dig universe. You and your team are traveling through the void scavenging weapons, hats, finding new crew and equipment, all the while defeating pirates, bandits and other interesting enemies. The gameplay and strategy element make the game interesting and allow you to play the game however you want. You get to pick the crew to take on each mission and customize the loadout. There's a total of 3 acts, totaling up to about 15 hours of gameplay with a story that's right in line with the Steamworld Dig universe. If you enjoy the Steamworld games, this has the same art style and music so you will be sure to enjoy it.
As a light-hearted 2D X-Com style game, minus the base-building elements, SH is a phenomenal little number; It looks good, it sounds good, it plays good. I'm honestly at a loss for any criticism other than the DLC seems a little overpriced for what you get, but even then its pretty comparable to most DLC in that regard. The story could be improved; it doesn't really make sense that the big bad is just a race with the ability to resurrect robots when you rebuild them yourself if they die in combat. Its probably a gag about the concept of an 'undead robot', it didn't really land with me. But otherwise I really liked my little crew, I really enjoyed our little adventure and I'll probably come back some time to play the maps I missed or didn't 3-star.
A nice, but very simple and undeveloped game.
