The highly anticipated sequel to the best-selling Stronghold, Stronghold Crusader HD throws you into historic battles and castle sieges from the Crusades with fiendish AI opponents, new units, 4 historical campaigns and over 100 unique skirmish missions. Stronghold Crusader HD features several campaigns documenting the First, Second and Third Crusades, as well as conflicts within the individual Crusader states. Battles such as Nicea, Heraclea, siege of Antioch, Krak des Chevaliers and the Siege of Jerusalem all feature, as do the Crusader Trails from the Stronghold Warchest and Stronghold Crusader Extreme.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Stronghold Crusader is one of those timeless strategy games that never gets old. Building an economy, designing the perfect castle, and watching huge battles unfold is still incredibly satisfying. The soundtrack and voice lines are iconic, and the gameplay has aged surprisingly well. A true RTS classic that keeps me coming back. Highly recommended for anyone who loves castle-building and strategy games.
The game stopped working after a recent Windows 11 update, and I cannot launch it even after enabling the "DirectPlay" option. I really loved this game, and now I feel sad and disappointed that I can no longer play it. Dear Steam team: Could you please improve or fix the game so I can play one of my favorites?
One of the classic RTS and staple Castle Sim games ever made.
