Technobabylon is a cyberpunk adventure game developed by Technocrat Games and published by Wadjet Eye Games for Microsoft Windows, iOS, Linux, and macOS. Originally intended as a series of 10 free episodic games, of which three were released, it was released as a full game on 21 May 2015. The game's story covers 10 chapters and focuses on three characters who live in the future city of Newton which is governed by an autonomous AI administrator, each of whom is faced with a complex matter, but soon find themselves caught up in a conspiracy surrounding the city's AI, including murder and hidden truths about its creation.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Good, solid point and click in an interesting Sci-Fi setting. I felt the difficulty of the puzzles was for the most part actually spot on, despite what some other reviews say. There was only one puzzle that had me tearing my hair out, and I had to look up, and I'd say that's pretty good for a 10ish hour point and click. The plot was good, and enjoyable enough for me to play through twice to see a different ending. I saw the story's main twist coming, but that doesn't detract from it overall. The core characters were also all pretty likeable, which is always a bonus when dealing with plot heavy games. Overall, a really enjoyable play. Hope the sequel eventually comes.
Technobabylon feels like a love letter to both retro point and click fans and Cyberpunk fans with its incredible story and challenging yet fun gameplay. Pros - Incredible story - alot of moments shocked me, I did NOT expect this much drama from this game - Outstanding voice actors - incredible variety of art styles - its really nice to see 2D with 3D elements, aswell as a different style for when in the trance - Diverse set of characters - Characters with their own interesting quirks and tools - Incredible and open worldbuilding - alot of love was made designing the city and it's backstory, it's incredible Cons (SPOILERS) - The "big reveal" near the end of two of the characters being related really wasn't that big of a shock - No tutorial - this is probably more of a "me" issue having only played point and clicks like Sam & Max but it wasn't till the flower area that I learnt how to look at items as it was the only way to progress. - No "No point of return" warning for the ship segment with Max - Thought I did everything I needed to do before progressing but forgot to use the Wetwall on a terminal and couldn't go back to get it, I also couldn't progress without it as I would get gunned down. I'm glad the game autosaved so I could return to a reasonable point but it didn't even tell me I had missed anything which I know is a thing that could have been added in as Max kept telling me she wasn't finished in that room with Baxters body in it in a previous segment. I don't know too much about Cyberpunk as an aesthetic but I really enjoyed the world of Technobabylon and believe others would too, it's an interesting, charming and albeit scary world that you navigate within with lovable characters and I would urge those even slightly interested to try it out, you wont be able to put it down.
This is one of my favorite point n clicks. I think that it might even be prophetic to some degree. Great game.
