Tekken 7 is still one of the most satisfying fighting games out there. The roster is huge, and every character feels distinct enough to keep things interesting. It’s easy to pick up but has tons of depth if you want to get serious. Landing a clean combo never gets old.
Recommended – Recomendado (ENG / ES) A classic fighting game where you pick from a large roster of characters, each with their own fighting style, combos, and moves. You fight in 1v1 battles across different modes like story, arcade, and online matches, with a big focus on mastering mechanics and learning matchups. This game is just pure fun and skill. The combat feels smooth, responsive, and very satisfying once you start learning combos and how each character works. There’s a lot of depth here — you can play casually and mash buttons, or really take your time to improve and get better. That learning curve is what makes the game so rewarding. The roster is great, with a lot of unique characters, and the fights always feel intense. Whether you’re playing against friends or online, every match feels different. It’s one of those games where you lose, rematch immediately, and keep going until you finally win. The game runs well overall, with stable performance and smooth gameplay, which is exactly what you need in a fighting game. For completion, it’s pretty straightforward. Most achievements come from playing different modes, trying out characters, and progressing through the game. Nothing too complicated, and you’ll unlock most of them naturally as you play.
Now that I can actually play Tekken 7 ever since I was gifted this game before 8 was even out, honestly? Despite everyone moving to 8, I still think I can recommend Tekken 7 if people don't want to pay for Tekken 8. Or even if people are burnt out, but want to go back to older days. But keep in mind, I played Tekken 7 first back on PS4 too. The only thing I don't recommend about Tekken 7 is the way they made Story mode. Tekken 6 has the better story mode, despite being a grindy as hell game on 6. Not only do you not get to play the characters you want to play as, it loses a lot of lore with other characters which is something people always lookout for when starting tekken. Doing arcade mode, getting endings via arcade mode, or even... whatever this one was for story mode. But the fact we don't get much lore for like, 75% of characters or so? Not my kind of story. Especially as someone wanting more King, Bob and many other character's lore. Now, onto the good side. Tekken 7 does have rollback for a while, before Tekken 8 even had its release. So for those who are worried about Tekken 7 not having rollback and think only 8 has it, 7 does have rollback. But this is mainly more for those who may also be like, tired of 8 or just not wanting to jump to 8 yet. Plus considering Tekken 7 is needing less resources of graphics, it's not a game where you need any special modification to make it run on a potato computer. It's also still just a nice choice if people want to go back to the older days or something. Tekken 7 still has a bunch of customization and such and freebies that can be unlocked by just playing the game while not needing the annoyance of battle passes. And while some DLCs are not exactly ever going on sale, it's still nice to consider 7 still. It's not bad for a game for when it was released. Yes, rage art dependers is annoying, but there is something nice in this still. Personally, I like both Tekken 7 and 8, with some biased love for 7 more than 8 (*Cough*Battlepasssucks*cough*). So if you want to jump into 7 instead of 8, take a break from 8 and go back to 7, or even just see the lore itself within the game without people spoiling you and having a gallery collection, Tekken 7 is great for where it stood in my opinion.
