"You can lose everything, but you're not truly lost until you lose hope." What an absolute gem of a game. 🌸 The Last Campfire follows a lost Ember on a journey to find purpose and hope. The story gently explores what it means to feel lost and reminds us that hope can often be found in the smallest acts of kindness. The puzzles are simple enough to never become frustrating, yet they're creative and meaningful. The art style is so cute and adorable. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3769140586 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3768285306 I absolutely loved the narrator’s voice and the soundtrack. It was such a wonderful experience to play this one. This isn't a game that rushes you—it's one that encourages you to slow down, reflect, and simply enjoy the journey. 🍀 It’s a short game but will 100% stay with you. I can't recommend it enough.
One of the few games where the emotional depth more than makes up for the simplicity of its puzzles. Quick and simple, but difficult to forget.
Great art and music, cute, and a cozy game. But other than that I was underwhelmed. Some of the puzzles were fun and required some thought, but most were too easy or a bit tedious. The narrator was annoying, each character had the same voice, and the diary entries really didn't add anything to the game. None of the characters have genders, so everyone was a "they/them" which was unnecessary and irritating. I think people will like the metaphors about you giving the embers that turned forlorn their light back, but I thought the actual story of Ember's journey was a bit confusing and scattered. A quick game; the art was beautiful but I didn't find the gameplay very fun or captivating.
