The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog is a surprisingly fun visual novel (with even more surprising platforming sections) set on Amy's birthday as a mystery game is going on and you, the reader, take part in solving the mystery of who 'murdered' Sonic the Hedgehog in this mysterious train. Mystery and comedy blend well, as you spend time with this beloved cast of characters. Obviously not every character is here, but as a celebration for Sonic's (the franchise) birthday, it's actually a neat surprise we all got for free. Not too demanding in time and adjustable skill for the platforming segments make it an easy game to recommend to every sonic fan.
This game teaches you that: - Retirement is evil, the moment you think about it you mysteriously get into a "work accident". - Gambling is fun and profitable, and you should indulge. - Stealing is morally correct, if you're hot. - Apparently crocodiles are good at videogames.
Absolutely love this take on the series! Been a fan of the Sonic franchise for a long time, and I can say without a doubt this has got to be one of SEGA's best Sonic games this decade! (Along with Sonic X Shadow Generations and Sonic Frontiers, of course) It's re-playable, fun with friends and also by yourself, and is just generally a solid visual novel all around. Would definitely recommend playing this if you haven't already! It's free to play (obviously lolz) so even if it isn't your cup of tea, you wouldn't have wasted a single penny :D
