The Wolf Among Us is an episodic adventure game developed and published by Telltale Games. It is based on Bill Willingham's Fables comic book series, to which it serves as a prequel. The game consists of five episodes that were released throughout 2013 and 2014. Retail versions for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita, Xbox 360, and Xbox One consoles were made available in November 2014. The game is set in Fabletown, a clandestine community within New York City consisting of fantastical characters from fairy tales, novels, and folklore, where sheriff Bigby Wolf must investigate a series of mysterious murders.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Second game when? Oh right the review. 9/10 game. Loved it, want more. Telltale knows how to make 'em addicting.
My favorite game. Will keep waiting the rest of my natural lifespan for the announced sequel to never come out. Easy 10/10.
The Wolf Among Us is one of those rare narrative-driven games that manages to feel both gritty and deeply human at the same time. Set in a dark, noir-inspired version of a fairy tale universe, it pulls you in immediately with its striking art style, moody soundtrack, and sharp writing. Playing as Bigby Wolf, the sheriff of Fabletown, feels impactful your choices carry real emotional weight, and the game constantly challenges your sense of morality. What really stands out is how well it balances tension and character development. The dialogue is snappy and believable, and the cast, from Snow White to the enigmatic Crooked Man, feels layered and memorable. The episodic structure keeps things engaging, with each installment ending on a cliffhanger that makes it hard not to jump straight into the next one. It’s less about action and more about atmosphere, storytelling, and consequence and it excels at all three. Even years after its release, the game holds up remarkably well, especially for players who appreciate choice-driven storytelling and a darker twist on classic tales. Episode titles (with one small downside each): Faith – Strong opening, though the pacing feels slightly slow at times. Smoke and Mirrors – Builds intrigue well, but some choices feel less impactful. A Crooked Mile – Intensely gripping, though it leans a bit heavily on action over investigation. In Sheep’s Clothing – Great tension, but some character arcs feel rushed. Cry Wolf – Satisfying conclusion, though the ending can feel a bit abrupt depending on your choices.
