This game may be from 2008, but it's still a blast to play in 2026. I have not tested multiplayer so I can't say how that works, but racing against the ghosts and trying to get better times is still as fun as ever. Keep in mind, you can play in VR with either KBM or gamepad. Gamepad support is limited, so I can only verify that it works with an Xbox One controller. You can mess with world-scale to make the game feel different (100% default feels like you're behind the wheel, while 5% makes it feel like you're a big head inside a tiny vehicle in a giant miniature world). I do recommend 100% world scale because it makes the jumps feel more thrilling. But if you don't have strong VR legs, you may want anywhere from 50% world scale to 1%. Either way, this game is a lot of fun if you're into arcade car racing. The further you progress, the wackier the tracks get. This game has simple controls, but is very challenging. Getting that gold will seem impossible at times. I've never had more fun in a FREE VR experience. [b]Rate 9/10. Only the CTDs and fuzzy hub area keep it from being perfect in VR. TrackMania Nations Forever: One More Try Regret: 4% (restarted the same track 700 times) TrackMania Nations Forever is free, old and still better than it has any right to be. You drive, you crash, you press restart, you drive again. It's the purest "one more try" game ever made. The loops, the jumps and the leaderboards make you feel like a racing god for one second before you crash into the first wall again. 11 hours and 700 restarts.

I'm not even a racing game enthusiast, but this game is an absolute blast to play! Fast, smooth, and a fun aesthetic for its tracks which can even sometimes be classified as "obstacle" courses or "acrobatic" courses (lots of jumps from track to track).
