Tunic is a 2022 action-adventure game developed by Isometricorp Games and published by Finji. It is set in a ruined fantasy world, where the player controls an anthropomorphic fox on a journey to free a fox spirit trapped in a crystal. The player discovers the gameplay and setting by exploring and finding in-game pages of a manual that offers clues, drawings, and notes. The backstory is obscured; most text is given in a constructed writing system that the player is not expected to decipher. Tunic's isometric perspective hides numerous pathways and secrets.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Quickly has become one of my favourites of all time. Not crazy long if you don't want to find all the secrets etc and certainly not the most straight forward at times but a really fun game to explore. Some puzzles towards the end can be a little testing and if you end up missing something significant a little frustrating but all the same I wouldn't let it discourage you from playing. As others have said play it as blind as possible, no shame in needing to get a hint or two if you end up missing something but thoroughly enjoyed solving things on my own where possible.
Fantastic action-adventure game with a big emphasis on puzzles and secret hunting. It's hard to recall the last time I was so excited by exploration and so mind-blown by discoveries (probably Outer Wilds?). The alien language manual that you collect page by page is an ingenious idea. It works as a tutorial, map, lore source, hintbook, but also contains lots of teases and secrets in itself. The manual helps you to progress and understand the world, and discoveries in the world shed light on previously inscrutable pages. It is a very engaging interplay. The puzzles run REALLY deep, and while it's possible to finish the game without tackling the harder ones, if you decide to dig into them, your inquisitiveness will be greatly rewarded.
