HOLY PEAK. The art style, the gameplay, the music, all absolutely incredible. I absolutely loved this, even if I did suck at it. The majority of the songs are certified bangers, with very few misses in the soundtrack. My only regret is that I didn't play this game sooner. I will absolutely be buying the full game.
I loved Muse Dash's simple gameplay, so when I saw UNBEATABLE's trailer, I couldn't stop thinking about playing it, and after finishing the Demo, I'm know I'll buy this game and at least play 400 hours on it. Only problem I had was that it runs bad on my potato laptop (18fps average on my config with lowest settings), but I guess it's normal since my PC sucks, I still definetly recommend.
Play this before you play the main game. Then buy the main game. I haven't written a review for it (yet). I will be much more thorough in that review (spoilers included). As a precursor to Unbeatable (the main game) white label is a more simplistic version of the arcade with some minor story beats. These seem to line up with the main story, *sort of*, though I couldn't really tell you how. White Label consists of half Unbeatable originals, and half remixes of Unbeatable originals. I'm a big fan of the mainline songs, I think the band aesthetic plays much better, not so much of the remixes. Personal preference though, maybe for rhythm games more electronic music is prevalent. It's neat to see baby Unbeatable before it got all big and cool and had Noodle promotions. If you're unsure about Unbeatable, I'd use this as a tester to see if you like the gameplay style. But the full game offers so much in terms of improvement and variety, even though it's declared as a spinoff it functions more closely to a demo. Still recommend trying out the original songs on it, as they do get slightly updated in the main game, leading to some awesome callbacks, but I honestly prefer White Label over the main game's updated songs in some cases. Overall great showcase of the basic concept, absolutely recommend White Label and mainline Unbeatable.
