I feel like this game could be cool, but it just seems like there's only one way to play it and if you don't play it in that way, you're just going to slowly die. Traps, traps, traps, fish fish fish. I don't ever get to do anything but that. I want to explore the world but I can't when my character has to eat every 5 minutes. I do ration my food and I still starve. The crafting system seems kind of limited for being a game with constant updates from the 90s too.
UnReal World is a really good game, no doubt, Sami Maaranen absolutely cooked with this one. It’s deep, unforgiving, and doesn’t care if you know what you’re doing or not. You’re thrown into survival and expected to figure it out the hard way, and yeah… it’s brutal. You will struggle, a lot. It’s a bit pricey for what it looks like, sure, but hey, there’s a ton of depth behind it. Once it clicks, it’s insanely rewarding. Hard, slow, and not for the impatient, but that’s exactly why it works. 8.5/10
Still a great game and very much worth playing in 2026. Really enjoying surviving in modern day Finland. Its a magical place where a stone weighs more than a rock! a truly great open world survival game
