From the team behind I Expect You To Die comes this visually stunning VR sword fighting game. Melee and magic fuse to deliver a satisfying combat experience in which you are the master of your own martial style.

Runs well on modern hardware.
It's an OK game, maybe especially for the extremely casual or novices to VR would probably enjoy it a lot. But the game itself is pretty shallow and the gameplay is fairly repetitive. I find it irritating you find reviews of people saying "this is super underrated and my favorite rougelite VR game" and they've played it for a grand total of 80 minutes, ever. The hours I played it were enough to experiment with various strategies, but most of the game is rote memorization of attack patterns and getting lucky with gear. The game is rather padded out in this respect that once you start knocking down some barriers you find the subsequent ones are just "do the same thing 10 times". It is not the type of game that has a wide variety of replayability because there isn't enough variation in its core mechanics and you'll probably get your fill in the low double digit number of hours if you don't quit almost immediately. If you do want a VR swordfighting game that has depth and moddability, Blade and Sorcery might be a better fit, though if you're just looking for something casual to show another person, or kids, or whatever, this game is mediocre but functional.
This is my favorite VR game, hands down. The fighting is structured and a bit arcade-y. You frantically block attacks with prompts on the screen where they're coming from then counter attack the prompts on the screen. The game then layers ranged attacks, groups of enemies, dodging positional AOEs, etc. And there are so many different weapons! I wish there was a sequel!
It is an ok game. I bought it ages ago played it a lot (ignore the time) and recently decided to replay it. I'd recommend it, especially if it is on sale. You'll get your money's worth. Decent roguelite. What you really get from your runs is not upgrades but your improved skill. The more you play the more you understand the game and easier it gets. Just stretch a bit before playing it. Played it on og Vive (wireless) and Reverb G2. Nothing really buggy. Now the nitpicks. Not much is explained. You gotta learn and understand almost everything yourself. (or read the steam guide). It might be a plus for some but for me its a minus. It is repetitive by its nature. And if you wanna max out your weapons you need to grind a lot. Personally I hate the end boss. I don't like that you hit boss till a health gate it jumps away and do AoE attacks while you wait for that phase. I don't like this "waiting for boss to do his thing before resuming the fight" thing in neither flat games nor here. Because of its model weirdness I punched a wall twice trying to slice it with starter sword during my various runs. But that might be me. Still would've prefer a more humanoid enemy. I wish it has more campaigns or different colour schemes or anything else to spice things up. But this game haven't been really updated since two handed weapons update. So chances are low, unless they do a steamframe thing.
