Valiant Hearts: The Great War is a 2014 puzzle adventure game developed by Ubisoft Montpellier and published by Ubisoft. The game was released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One in June 2014. Set during World War I, the game follows four characters who help a young German soldier find his love in a story about survival, sacrifice, and friendship. Collectible items hidden in each chapter reveal facts about the war.

Runs well on modern hardware.

What an absolute gem, worth whatever price you'll pay for it. Gameplay-wise, it's solid. A basic platformer with some puzzles, but it's an enjoyable background to what you're actually here for, and that's the story. Words cannot express how great the plot and the atmosphere is. I love the setting of the Great War, I love the fact we get attached to multiple protagonists, I love the soundtrack, I love the art, I love the narrator, I love the emotional ending, there's literally nothing I can think of I'd like to complain about, it's 9 hours of an extremely emotional story with minigames and puzzles in the background to keep you engaged.
This is such a beautiful, sad and moving story, could almost forgive that it's a Ubisoft game
A tragic and moving story about world war I, a good gameplay to show character's stories in that unstable situation.
