VVVVVV is a 2010 puzzle-platform game created by Terry Cavanagh. In the game, the player controls Captain Viridian, who must rescue their spacecrew after a teleporter malfunction caused them to be separated in Dimension VVVVVV. The gameplay is characterized by the inability of the player to jump, instead opting on controlling the direction of gravity, causing the player to fall upwards or downwards. The game consists of more than 400 individual rooms, and also supports the creation of user-created levels.
Runs well on modern hardware.

This game feels like attaching a car battery to both of my testicles. But other than that it's pretty fun.
VVVVVVery fun, not too long for a single playthrough with replayable modes and additional challenges. but looking at the achievements, nope no thanks I am done. I did have some issues, the controls were not at all as snappy or responsive as I would expect for a precision platformer especially one so exacting, and much the same, hitboxes were poorly defined: I would die with a visibly clear gap between me and the spikes. The gameplay is nonetheless fun even for a casual player but these issues are excruciating if you attempt 100% completion and that just isn't worth the time.
I can absolutely see why people love this game. Its creative, fun, has really challenging level designs and exploration.. That being said, to me it felt like reading rage bait on twitter.
