Almost 10 years later, I still think about Edith Finch. I've recommended the game to friends, and watched them experience it for the first time, and on each replay the story washes over me and takes my breath away all over again. One of my favorite games ever, and a massive inspiration for the type of story I someday want to tell. As a very personal aside, I've been paralyzed for some time, and Calvin's story reminds me of when I could still move my legs. It may not have been your intention, but it's a wonderful gift. Thank you.
"What Remains of Edith Finch" is the kind of game that quietly destroys you. Every story pulled me in so deeply, such a miserably good experience.
I can't even imagine how painful it is, but I realized something. This game isn't a game, it will be part of your life and reminder about cost of life. And after the plot you either gonna break optimistic hopes or gonna start make your whole life better in all possible ways.
