Worms Armageddon is a 2D artillery tactical shooter with turn-based gameplay. It follows the visual style of the series, and you control a team of cartoonish worms that fight with real-based weapons. While the game was developed in the late 90s, the newest version is available on Steam since 2013. The core gameplay is focused on turn-based PvP battles. Each player can perform an action during their turn. You have numerous possibilities: you can move your worms, attack opponents, use different items and so on. The goal is to defeat other players. The only stat a worm has is its health. On the contrary, there is a huge variety of weapons and constructions that can be used during the fight. Weapons have different parameters and unique abilities. Some of them, such as flamethrower, are based on real models, while the others, like explosive moles, are completely fictional.

Runs well on modern hardware.

Not recommended until WormNET becomes reliable again. Worms Armageddon is a classic and still one of the best Worms games ever made, but the online service is currently unreliable. WormNET sometimes takes a very long time to connect, and even when it appears to be working again, it can go down shortly after. This makes the online multiplayer experience inconsistent and frustrating. If the game is still being sold on Steam with online multiplayer listed, then the online functionality should work properly, or Team17 should clearly communicate the current status of the servers. Great game, but I cannot recommend it while the online mode is in this state.
i bought this game for me and my friends and its imposible to conect to wormnet and create a game we only managed to do it once on 20 tries
Very fun game to play with friends and family, i highly reccomend it.
