Yakuza Kiwami 2

Got delisted lol Aside from that Kiwami 2 is a pretty interesting game. It's the remake of the second ps2 game. I've only played that till chapter 5, but even playing that little, I can see why some people hate this game. The original's combat is really smooth, and some small things they changed are baffling, like taking away a small city and some weird aesthetic changes, like how one fight originally had reflective floor and the arena got surrounded by a lot of yakuza cheering on got removed from K2. But still, as a game on itself is pretty fun. This was my favorite game to 100% from the series till Y6. Something about the dragon engine feels charming to me, even tho I feel that the combat here is a downgrade, it's still fun. The substories were memorable, and the side content was good. There was some minigames I disliked like the gravour photo session and Bouncer missions, which became repetetive after a while. Aside from that, it's still a good Yakuza game, and an important part to Kiryu's story.

Pretty good game and it runs fine on my steam deck (needed to lower the graphics settings to "normal" so it didn't kill my battery lmao). It's a shame no one can buy this anymore.

I really like Yakuza Kiwami 2. But that is mostly for the story, because as flashy as the dragon engine is here, it is still very much in its clunky infancy. But hey, Tiger drop negates all damage.
